Whoever you are, wherever you are..

We had our last meeting for our homestudy today. It went great! Before she left she told us that we are approved and that if we were matched tomorrow all would be well. The hitch is that we are still waiting for our background checks to come back from Idaho. It's kinda confusing, but we have faith that the Lord is on our side and he knows which child is meant to be apart of our family and he is mindful of all involved!
After you were all updated we had an OUTPOURING, literally an outpouring of support, many of you shared our GoFundMe to get the word out about us, but I figured whoever you may be sharing us with deserves to know more about us. Word of mouth is the most powerful tool we have when it comes to connecting with our future child!
Once we get our backgrounds back they will date our homestudy and make it active, we will then be able to go live on adoption.com and have our profile on there! For now though I'd love to tell our story here. :)

Mike and I met when we were just wee teenagers, we started dating while in college and have now been married for 5 wonderful years. We recently bought a home that we love in a quiet neighborhood that's close to both sides of our families who we love seeing frequently.

Happy dating!
The big day!
Our Home <3

We have had so much fun working together making our new house our home. We both love being creative, Mike loves ceramics and glass blowing and I could spend hours sewing, crafting and creating anything. We both grew up camping with our families and love doing it together and can't wait to bring a little one along!

Ever since we were little we knew that one day our family would grow through adoption, we never would have imagined how much it would and has already blessed our lives. It has opened our minds and hearts to so many different experiences and people. Adoption is a beautiful thing and we can't wait to be apart of it. We want everyone to know that whoever that sweet child is, however they make it into our family we already, with all of our hearts, love them. Our prayers are always centered around them, and we know they are already loved by many, not just us.

When I speak of the love we have for that baby, I must also speak of the love that we have for those prospective parents. Life can be very tricky sometimes and there are always many difficult decisions to be made and we can't even imagine the strength and bravery it takes to choose adoption for your baby. As long as we can remember we have wanted to be parents, we both love kids and always gravitate towards them. We could spend hours with our nieces and nephews playing, giggling and snuggling with them!

There is nothing more joyful than making memories with these small people who find such wonder in the world. We are so excited to share memories with our own little one, what dancing in the warm rain feels like, how big the ocean really is, what it feels like to ride a bike... We will teach them what it means to be kind, how valuable family is, and what it's like to laugh.. a lot.

There are so many more things I would like to say, things we enjoy doing together, places we like to visit and people we love to be with! Every year we get together with Mike's family for a reunion and love spending a week together playing games, going to water parks, golfing and just catching up with each other. Mike is number 4 out of 6 boys, on his side we have 4 nephews and 4 nieces. I have one older sister (and brother in-law) who have 3 little girls. We are both extremely lucky to have so many amazing family members living nearby. Both of our parents reside just a short drive away, same with two of our siblings (My sister, her family and one of Mike's brothers and his family)
The best part about having family so close is we get to see them all the time, birthdays are always celebrated and holidays are never a dull moment!
Along with Mike's family reunion my side of the family tries to at least take a weekend to go camping together, sometimes we take wonderful trips to Florida. Which reminds me, Mike and I love traveling, we can't be stopped from going on a good adventure from time to time. ;) Sometimes those adventures include, trying a new recipe, starting our first garden, exploring new dog parks around the city, riding our bikes on unknown bike paths or just building a fort in our living room.

Exploring Chicago.
Mike and our Sister-in-law after their half marathon!
Fort date night!
On a whale watch in Cape Cod!
Halloween with Breia's family.
Finding giant mushrooms with Mike's family.
Playing golf together!

It's important to be silly sometimes. :)

So there you have it folks, a little glimpse into our lives and hearts. Like I said in the beginning if you take nothing else with you when you close this tab on your browser, remember wherever you are and whoever you are, we love you, we will support you, we will always be thinking about you and we will forever pray for you. Our hearts are open for you and your baby.
