Mighty Monday!

might·y

/ˈmītē/
Adjective
Possessing great and impressive power or strength.

Let's call Monday's, Mighty Monday. Yeah? Mondays are my weigh in days, and each day im becoming stronger and better.

Heres the run down:
Jan. 2012- 198.8 lbs (my heaviest weight)
May 2012- 179.5 lbs (19 lbs lost)
I gained 9-10 of that back

My new 'start' weight:
Jan. 14th  2013- 189.7
6 weeks later
Feb. 25th 2013- 181.2
Current total loss: 17.6 lbs!

My goal is to have another 22-23 lbs lost by my birthday in May. For a total of 40 pounds.
Then its IUI or another 20-25 lbs. We'll cross that bridge once we get there baha. ;)
This has never felt so real! I'm extremely excited! YAY!
It feels nice writing it down.

Anyways..

Mike has been working, his first day of work the assnt manager said he was really impressed with him. There were actually 8 applicants, two adults with higher education, and Mike was the only one who handed in a resume. It was like an instant hirer! In august the assnt manager was  basically running the store, taking on 80 hours a week! Oh how things work, Mike saw that the store was hiring then, but didn't really see it as an option.
Lesson learned.
Take opportunities before they smack you in the face ;D
Im so proud of him, he is such a hard worker.

On another note we're making more friends, we had dinner with an awesome couple around our age and played games. After almost 7 months of living in MN, I feel like things are all falling into place.

xo
p.s. lets just pretend its Monday, even though its wednesday ;) the days meld together after awhile! I've been mixed up all week.

Welcome!

Ive started many blogs, and had a hard time deciding what I wanted them to be like. I was thinking about it, and decided to keep a blog going of our journey! Of course it will most likely adapt to many changes along the way, so goes life ;)

Lets update you on how things are for us!
We graduated July 2012 from BYU-I, we are currently living in Minnesota and love having family close. We're living in a 2 bedroom adorable apartment/town-home hybrid thingy. Ziggy loves looking out the window, as usual.

Mike is exploring all sorts of avenues for what he wants to do, currently he is working really hard and learning about trading. It's one of his passions and i'm happy he is pursuing it. He also had an interview at Sherwin Williams on monday! They're doing a background check, we're confident he'll get the job :) they say they're looking for people who want to move forward in the company (manager status and such). The best part is its located just on the other side of our complex!

As for me, I'm still trying to figure life out. Ive pretty much given up on plans, and im a TOTAL planner. I like knowing what the future entails, I like feeling the sense of security in plans. At this point I'm throwing the idea of plans out the door, they hardly ever go the way you want them to anyways. *shrugs*

The plans we thought were fool proof. I guess God thinks different.

Plan: Have a baby. March 2013 marks our two year anniversary of infertility.
Plan: Mike goes to Grad school. Baha, that was a bust!
Plan: Have nice jobs where Mike makes salary. Also a bust, at least for now.
Plan: Go through the adoption process, -_- cant move forward without an employers recommendation. Stalled.

Current 'Goals' (the word "plan" is such a taboo, its out of my vocabulary now)

Goal: Succeed in trading, work at Sherwin Williams. UPDATE: He just got a call and he GOT THE JOB!! we're so incredibly excited!
Goal: Lose weight!
Here's some background on that one; Our last semester in Idaho I worked on losing weight. I lost 19 pounds. Losing weight and trying to conceive at the same time made for the WORST roller coaster of my life. I became too overwhelmed and gained 10 of those 19 pounds back. Heres a picture of my progress then,

Cool right? This time im going to keep even more than 9 pounds permanently off. I started weight watchers (along with my Mom, Dad and Sister YAY!) five and a half weeks ago. I have been losing 1.5 lbs on average every week! Ive lost 7.5 pounds. another 2 weeks and I should be back at my 19-20 pound mark!
I cant tell you how excited I am.
Goal: After weight loss is achieved (30lbs by May), we will do IUI (Artificial insemination)! I couldn't be more motivated to lose this weight.

Well this post is long enough, ill stop there, right where I drop the IUI bomb. ;)

Ta Ta for now!
