Lets update you on how things are for us!
We graduated July 2012 from BYU-I, we are currently living in Minnesota and love having family close. We're living in a 2 bedroom adorable apartment/town-home hybrid thingy. Ziggy loves looking out the window, as usual.
Mike is exploring all sorts of avenues for what he wants to do, currently he is working really hard and learning about trading. It's one of his passions and i'm happy he is pursuing it. He also had an interview at Sherwin Williams on monday! They're doing a background check, we're confident he'll get the job :) they say they're looking for people who want to move forward in the company (manager status and such). The best part is its located just on the other side of our complex!
As for me, I'm still trying to figure life out. Ive pretty much given up on plans, and im a TOTAL planner. I like knowing what the future entails, I like feeling the sense of security in plans. At this point I'm throwing the idea of plans out the door, they hardly ever go the way you want them to anyways. *shrugs*
The plans we thought were fool proof. I guess God thinks different.
Plan: Have a baby. March 2013 marks our two year anniversary of infertility.
Plan: Mike goes to Grad school. Baha, that was a bust!
Plan: Have nice jobs where Mike makes salary. Also a bust, at least for now.
Plan: Go through the adoption process, -_- cant move forward without an employers recommendation. Stalled.
Current 'Goals' (the word "plan" is such a taboo, its out of my vocabulary now)
Goal: Succeed in trading, work at Sherwin Williams. UPDATE: He just got a call and he GOT THE JOB!! we're so incredibly excited!
Goal: Lose weight!
Here's some background on that one; Our last semester in Idaho I worked on losing weight. I lost 19 pounds. Losing weight and trying to conceive at the same time made for the WORST roller coaster of my life. I became too overwhelmed and gained 10 of those 19 pounds back. Heres a picture of my progress then,
I cant tell you how excited I am.
Goal: After weight loss is achieved (30lbs by May), we will do IUI (Artificial insemination)! I couldn't be more motivated to lose this weight.
Well this post is long enough, ill stop there, right where I drop the IUI bomb. ;)
Ta Ta for now!
xo
You go girl! We've been trying for a baby for over a year now and the doctor told me to lose weight too. We're also on hold for adoption since we don't have employment either. In April, I'll be getting fertility meds and we'll see if that works. Good luck you guys, we miss you!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that I can follow you again. I hear ya on the "plans never work out" thing. Keep us posted! Miss you!
ReplyDeleteKayla- my doctor wanted to do IUI treatments in november. the holidays kept getting in the way. So i decided to focus on the weight. It's interesting my Dr. never told me to lose any, i just really wanted to :) go US!
