Off Topic (kinda) I didn't realize how outnumbered the boys are! We have 4 Nephews and 7 Nieces.
Living with someone else's newborn isn't at all how I expected it to be. I didn't expect to become practically addicted to her, that the first thing I'd care to do when getting home from work would be to go running into my sister's room (Sorry Alyssa) to see her. I wasn't aware that my adorable husband would steal any chance he could to snuggle her, I thought i'd be the only one with that MO. The most unexpected outcome that comes with living with your only sister's last baby, is the various heartache you feel when you have to give her back. I was unaware it would affect us both.
I don't know what's cuter, that short conversation or the look he gets on his face when Harper enters the room, his eyes light up and he'll say "Oh, what do you have there?!" which is usually accompanied with outstretched arms. Lets be fair here, I get the same way.
The first time Uncle Mike held her.
As you can tell, neither of us can get enough of her.. but, for me personally, seeing him hold a baby is exactly what I cant get enough of. Watching his already big heart grow even larger for the sweet children in our lives is an amazing process I feel privileged to be apart of.
